Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.

The Role

  • The Asset Manager (AM) is responsible for the management of the GLH portfolio asset strategy for value optimisation. 
  • Support Asset Management in identifying potential vacant space well in advance and develop solutions to minimise it.
  • Support effective contract and supplier relationship management to maximise value in compliance with Contract Management Standards and commercial best practice.
  • Undertake acquisitions, disposals, surrenders and re-gears in consultation with both the Senior Management Team and individual Hotels to create and exploit value-creating opportunities and/or cost savings.
  • Dealing with ad hoc problems and unforeseeable situations
  • Create and proactively implement a portfolio strategy and strategic action plans for each site/asset.
  • Improve tenant/occupier mix to both increase asset values and provide complimentary occupations.
  • Prepare any necessary approvals required for submission to Capital Committee or other forum to approve required budget.

  • Assess and monitor existing property structures and arrangements and identify alternative tenure structures to ensure property holdings provide optimal deployment of capital and cost-effective solutions.
  • Work with finance and other functions to effectively report benefits and performance against plans on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare, maintain and update financial appraisals and development forecasts.
  • Leverage relationships with third party providers to identify and maximise available opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external consultants, landlords and hotel managers whilst acting as an interface with other departments. External planning consultants and property consultants.
