The Hard Rock Hotel is a 4-star deluxe hotel in the West End of London, just off Oxford Street. The hotel offers a combination of contemporary design throughout 1019 bedrooms, as well as meeting rooms and the modern Brasserie restaurant. The hotel also has its own destination Momentus bar, as well as a dedicated conference centre.

The Role


To ensure that all meetings and events run smoothly and as per the Guest’s specifications at all times. To set up and prepare rooms and facilities for events and provide service to guests throughout events, ensuring that we meet and where possible exceed the expectations of our guests.


  • Maintains a good level of knowledge of departmental and Brand Standards
  • Cleans and sets up function rooms as per the Brand Standards and in line with weekly function sheets
  • Sets up Audio/Visual aid equipment and erects room decorations and displays where necessary
  • Serves all refreshments/meals to M & E guests in line with the requirements on the weekly function sheets
  • Sets up buffets and table bars as per the Brand Standards and in line with weekly function sheets
  • Serves food and beverages at tables, buffets and bars, understands procedures of plates/silver service
  • Takes orders for additional food, wine, etc and promotes add on sales where appropriate
  • Speaks with guests and discuss any complaints or problems and deals with these immediately where possible
  • Refers complaints or problems to M&E Team Leader where necessary
  • Answers guest calls from function rooms promptly
  • Keeps banqueting back of house areas and kitchen clean and tidy when on shift
  • Assists with other Food & Beverage departments as and when needed
  • Requests sufficient stocks of linen, furniture, tableware and other equipment as necessary
  • Carries out post-function procedures, returning any unused liquor and food to the appropriate department and disposing of waste material safely
  • Operates cloakrooms as required
