Our Hotel Support Office a modern office located close to Warren Street and Euston Square stations in central London. Conveniently located with great transport links this friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions for glh Hotels including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue.

This is a newly created role within our property team and will take responsibility for the strategic management of our property portfolio. Being seen as the subject matter expert within glh on property related matters for our assets. It is his/her responsibility to help drive strategic investment value, renovations and turn arounds. If and where appropriate, s/he will thus also help manage CapEx programs and assume a key role in re-branding. Whilst the person's main responsibilities are not within acquisition or investment, it is expected that the Asset Manager will provide valuable input and know-how when it comes to evaluating deals and transactions.

Your key areas of responsibiltiy will be around:

Property Management; you will have responsibility for the strategic property asset management ensuring that the Company is kept up to date on short, medium and long term issues on a property by property basis.

Value Creation; Working with the Property Director and other senior colleagues at glh, maximize the long-term value of the firm's hotel investments through the pursuit of strategies for value creation.

Capital Projects; Support the planning, monitoring and implemention of capital expenditure (CapEx) programs.

 

 


What we look for

• Chartered Surveyor (RICS)
• Previous relevant Hotel/Property management experience,
• Technical ability and knowledge, sound understanding of hotel and property valuation fundamentals.
• Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness within the context of their role.
• Self-motivation, problem-solving & juggling multiple issues.
• Strong relationship building, communication, negotiating and influencing skills
• Clear & concise written and verbal skills. Ability to convey complexities simply to non-property colleagues.
• Attention to detail.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality or Real Estate. Masters degree/professional qualification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in Asset Management or Hotel Operations required, preferably simultaneously managing multiple hotel properties or relevant consultancy experience
