Our Support Office a modern office located close to Old Street and Barbican in central London. This friendly open plan office houses several of the key support functions including Sales, Human Resources, Marketing and Central Revenue. Conveniently located with great transport links the office is the London base for the back office functions of Guoman and Thistle.

The Role

As tax manager, your primary responsibilities will be to act as the key individual within the Central Finance team for all tax matters. Your key relationships will be with the Central Team and Exec to provide advice on all tax matters, our external tax advisors, the Hotel Finance teams, the parent company finance and tax colleagues based in Hong Kong and also with HMRC We are seeking a tax manager to support the business in all areas of taxation. This is a hands-on role and requires someone with a flexible approach to both preparing the returns and also group tax planning and strategy, working collaboratively with our external tax advisors


What we look for

  • ACA, CTA or equivalent qualification with excellent academics
  • 3+ Years Post Qualification Experience in tax, ideally within industry (although not essential)
  • Hands on experience required, this role is a broad mix of everything
  • Prior experience in tax planning, business support and project management would be advantageous
  • VAT experience desirable
  • Someone who keeps up to date with the changes in Tax Legislation
  • A self-motivated individual who can manage multiple work streams and be flexible around deadlines
  • A positive, can do attitude will be great fit for Finance team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills to service a wide range of relationships
  • Demonstrate strong IT Skills, including MS Excel (advanced)
  • Hospitality and Leisure experience desirable but not essential
  • Ideally will be a three day a week position but other approaches considered for strong candidates
